2010 Season - Week 19

And then there were four (Cont)

AP scored well but couldn’t match Mark’s juggernaut as he lost 36-57. David Stamp was the other owner to blank The Gronk and he failed to become the first ever 16 seed to beat the #1 and #2 seeds in the same postseason, losing 24-37 to Craig. Going into the final Divisional Game Wayne looked in good shape, trailing Daz (who had no players left) by just 7 points with Aaron Rodgers (153 regular season points) and Jordy Nelson (90) still to play. Nelson got shutout and Rodgers threw just 2 TDs as Daz held on 38-37. The winner that waited the longest to take the lead was Johnnie, the BUMSBowl winner the past 2 years. He was the most excited man on the planet when, with the game already over and New York running out the clock with 2:36 left, Giant RB Brandon Jacobs broke off a 14 yard TD run against a beaten Packers defense. That lifted Johnnie passed Andy H 46-44 as neither Victor Cruz nor Nelson could find the endzone for H. The best team of the weekend would have scored a massive 85 points and cost $7.5m. QB Tom Brady (18pts), K Lawrence Tynes (13), Receiver Hakeem Nicks (12) & TEs Rob Gronkowski (18), Vernon Davis (12) and Jimmy Graham (12). The most popular players in the Divisional Round were (as already mentioned The Gronk (on 6 of the 8 teams), Aaron Rodgers (5 teams) and Ray Rice & Darren Sproles chosen by 3 owners. As we head to the Championship round a reminder of the tie-breaking rules:- firstly it’s momentum ie the latest player to score in whichever game, the second tie-breaker rule applies if the only players to score are in both teams, we then turn to the rushing and receiving combined yardage by all four outfield players. So it’s Craig v Mark and Johnnie v Daz, just one step from the BUMSBowl. Teams in by 10am Saturday please. First come first served etc. BUMS on Seats And then there were four.
